4 Tips for Creating the Perfect Seating Chart

Your Seating Chart Matters!

When it comes to the layout of your venue, people often overlook the little details that go into developing a successful seating chart. Here are four tips to create the perfect seating chart for your wedding.

1. Do not place older guests near the DJ booth.

Often, these guests are very sensitive to the volume of the music and will ask the DJ to turn it down, while others farther from the DJ space can hardly hear the music.

2. Place guests with young children or babies near the bathroom.

Whether it is time for speeches, a blessing or any other time someone is on the microphone, it is crucial for every guest to hear clearly. Placing guests with young children near the bathroom gives them easy access and saves them from having to walk across the venue.

3. Place the DJ near the dance floor.

This gives the DJ a better way to connect with the crowd and also allows the lighting to hit the dance floor perfectly.

4. If you are having a buffet-style meal, place the food near the kitchen space or an available exit.

When dinner finally comes to an end, it is crucial for the caterers to be able to break down without having to carry their equipment through the crowd.
